SA Universities Late Applications for 2025 | Dates & Guidelines
Some universities in South Africa give students another chance to apply for 2025 admission after the closing date. Often referred to as late application, not all universities in South Africa give this opportunity and we advise students not to wait for the late application to open for 2025 to apply.
Before proceeding, confirm that your desired university is not still open for 2025 / 2026. After you confirm the application opening state for your desired university you can continue with this page to see if there are opportunities for late applications.
The reason why some universities consider opening their application portal again to receive applications may be that there are still some spaces among other reasons. This second opportunity is usually not free, late application in South Africa incurs a late application fee.
While some universities do not require application fees, if a student applies late, he may have to pay the applicable fees. However, not all universities require this fee.
The table below shows universities, clicking on any of the universities’ names with available late applications loads another page containing instructions on how to apply for late applications.
