Vision Network Solutions is a well-established outsourced IT provider based in Randburg, Gauteng and we are looking to employ a Network Engineer who meets our technical and client service requirements.

One successful candidate will be based in Sandton for 5 days a week and will have to have a valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.

Job Title: Network / IT Support Engineer

Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting user issues / network issues / server issues / email issues / connectivity issues
Maintain and manage the client relationship and be an ambassador for our business
Restoring servers and client data, using varying backup products
Good understanding of firewalls and security, willing to learn Sophos and associated products
Manage anti-virus endpoints on servers and workstations
Learn and manage Ninja RMM deployments
Provide feedback to the VNS and onsite client managers
Identify sales opportunities or hardware replacements etc.
Identify possible projects to enhance client infrastructure, processes and experience
Maintain client on-site and offsite backups
Maintain client server infrastructure (cloud and on-site)
Good understanding of internet, VPN and connectivity products
Good understanding of switching, cabling, VLAN’s, and fibre
Attend to end user support calls in a timely manner
Setup and configure workstations for new users
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum of 3 years in an IT support position
A+, N+ qualification
Microsoft MCSA/MCSE/MCITP or similar certification
Microsoft MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure will be advantageous
CCNA / CCNP/CCIE qualificationwill be advantageous
Sophos firewall experience will be advantageous
Sophos endpoint security will be advantageous
Veeam backup and Replication will be advantageous
RMM Experience will be advantageous
ITIL will be advantageous
Office 365 MCSA will be advantageous
Linux knowledge & experience will be advantageous
Infosec knowledge & experiencewill be advantageous

Package & Remuneration:
R15 000 to R35 000 depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
