Job Title: Part-time/ Locum Oncologist
Location: Gaborone, South East, Botswana

Job Summary:
To manage and direct activities of a specialized medical service in the Hospital, providing professional leadership to the multi-disciplinary medical team and delivering proficient specialist service in the diagnosis, therapeutic and prevention of ailments.
Roles and Responsibilities:
•Perform physical assessments to detect cancerous cells.
•Develop treatment plans based on the nature of the cancer.
•Carry out surgical procedures on the areas affected by cancer and cancer treatments.
•Complete procedures such as mammograms and prostate exam that stop the malignancy from spreading.
•Provide treatment options such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
•Collect medical information on patient histories.
•Inform patients about the treatment options available for their cancer.
•Provide support for cancer patients.
•Carry out medical research.

Education And Experience Requirements:
Qualifications Required: Medical Specialization (MMED), Bachelor of Medicine,
Medical degree in Oncology and the successful completion of a residency and fellowship in Oncology.
Experience: At least two (2) years’ work experience as Medical Specialist.
