Amazon Web Services Bursary Scholarship Programme 2021/2022
Amazon Web Services Bursary is currently looking to fund undergraduates looking for scholarships.
Bursary Details:
The purpose of the Amazon bursary aims to develop a talent pipeline for Amazon (AWS) in South Africa. Bursaries are awarded to students in fields relevant to the technology sector.
Only the following programmes will be funded:
Undergraduate Degree programmes:
- Computer Science / Engineering and Information Technology,
- Bachelor of Commerce (specialising in Accounting and Finance),
- Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics, Civil Engineering.
Year level: First to final year students.
Postgraduate Degree Programmes:
- Honours and Masters Degree in:
- Computer Science / Engineering and Information Technology,
- Bachelor of Commerce (specialising in Accounting and Finance),
- Electrical / Mechanical/ Mechatronics, Civil Engineering.
People with Disability
Undergraduate and postgraduate degree in all study Programmes.
Closing date: 30 September 2021.
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum selection criteria:
- Current Gr 12 learners with Mathematics and Physical Science marks of 75% and above
- Current first year students who are consistently obtaining an average of 70% and above
- Applicants must be willing to commit to work for Amazon for the number of years funded.
- Applicants must be willing to participate in vacation work and training opportunities at
Amazon.
Bursary Inclusion:
The bursary will cover the following costs:
- tuition
- residence / private accommodation
- subsistence
- stationery and books
- a personal computer
- transport.
