IEB May 2023 Examinations Applications are open for South African students looking to pursue higher education.
Candidates who were not pleased with their performance in the examination, and had the opportunity to apply for remarking subject should expect their results to be released on 1 March 2023.
The IEB offers a range of qualifications, including the National Senior Certificate (NSC) and the Further Education and Training (FET) certificate.

IEB May 2023 Examinations Qualifications
Only qualified candidates for the IEB exams rewrite will sit for IEB NSC supplementary. The May/June 2023 examination qualifications include that:
- the student must have been absent in November 2021
- Students who wish to improve their November marks
IEB Applications for May 2023 Examinations
To begin the application process, visit the IEB website. Make sure to read the instructions carefully before filling out the form, and ensure that you meet all the eligibility requirements.
Applications can be made for any number of subjects but Life Orientation and will have to write both papers in subjects that have Paper 1 and Paper 2.
How to Apply
Qualified candidates must apply online to rewrite their final matric examinations at R1510 per paper.
After the marking and results collation of rewrites, you will also apply to receive the final IEB Grade 12 certificate.
