Job Title: Fund Accountant

Salary: 7.00 – 7.00 Annually

Job Summary:
Responsible for determining the strategy, processes and procedures and to execute, review, and provide financial management information and accounting functions across legal entities within the Commercial sector to Asset Management, Property Management, SA and Group Finance.

Duties and responsibilities:
•Compile financial reporting for the Office/Commercial sector and GMS Cost Centre for Office Asset Management which includes aggregation of numbers, monthly variance commentary etc.
•Producing monthly information for Management Accounting Team on Arrears and Vacancies and other as and when required
•Perform on a monthly basis the required activities and do the distribution of shared owned properties distributable income to the shared owners. Liaise with external parties as and when required
•Attend monthly management meetings, on portfolio, regional, and national levels
•Provide Vacancy and projected vacancy reports and comments on a monthly basis to HOAM
•Attend Asset Management and strategic meetings upon invitation
•Attend feedback meetings as invited by the FD
•Approve and release payments and transfers on the Nedbank platform
•Perform checks on reconciliations of the Balance sheet, and other team deliverables
•Assist with budget planning, preparation and prepare and provide schedules and reports for the Head of Office Asset Management (HOAM)
•Prepare Exco and Board Reports as indicated and requested by HOAM
•Prepare presentations as and when required by Asset Management
•Provide analytical commentary on a per building level on different measurements of performance to Finance
•Provide CAPEX actual versus budget variances with contextualising commentary to both Asset Management and Finance
•Liaise with International Finance with relation to accounting compliance as prescribed by IFRS and any other relevant requirements
•Liaise with Internal Legal on compliance and appropriate matters
Identify potential areas of risk to compliance and reputation for Growthpoint, and act preventatively through the relevant channels
•Execute special projects as per request Is the custodian of the relationship between the Office Finance Team and all stakeholders and clients, internally and externally
•from Finance, the CFO and the FD

Requirements:
Experience & Qualifications:

•5 – 10 years’ experience in an accounting environment and 3 years in a management level (Property/Financial industry experience is advantageous)
•Qualified Chartered Accountant or comparable qualification
