Job Title: Faculty Head (Commerce) – Damelin/CTC National Office
Location: South Africa
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Head of Faculty is responsible for full programme management for the portfolio of programmes in the faculty. This means accountability for programme development and curriculum reviews, assessment alignment and development, module material updates and prescribed textbook lists. The HoF is expected to ensure academic integrity and regulatory compliance of programmes and assessments offered by the respective sites of Damelin; and assure that all programmes, programme factsheets and programme curriculum structures and assessments are aligned in accordance with regulatory requirements.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
1.Programme Management, Development and Review
2.Work integrated learning/workplace (EL) based learning
3.Student recruitment, selection, placement, RPL and CAT
4.Teaching and learning
5.Academic staff capacity
6.Institutional planning, resource allocation and governance
7.Stakeholder surveys on the quality of provision
8.Benchmarking of standards

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
1.A postgraduate qualification in the Commerce is required. A Masters is preferred.
2.5 years experience in higher education is required and experience in programme management preferred.
3.Advantageous: Familiar with formal assessment & moderation practices, design & development, & programme structuring
4.Excellent computer literacy is essential especially in MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel.
