Buffalo City TVET College Requirements for Admission

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR NC(V) STUDENTS

For entry into any National Certificate programme at NQF Level 2, you are required have:

  • A year-end school report for Grade 9, 10, 11 or 12, or
  • An NQF Level 1 qualification, or
  • An approved bridging programme designed for the specific purpose to access NQF Level 2, or
  • A Recognition of Prior Learning (RLP) assessment to meet the basic requirements for access to NQF Level 2.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR REPORT 191 STUDENTS

  • Minimum entrance requirements as aligned by the NATED Policy. Students who have passed to Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4 will be admitted to N4.
  • Students who have passed grades 9, 10, 11 or 12 who want to pursue an artisan career will be admitted to N1 based on a point system

ADDITIONAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • The College Council has determined additional entry requirements by means of a point system for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1 and Report 191 N4 in an effort to improve the quality and performance of specialised programmes

  3. Applicants can apply for NSFAS Funding through or can search for other available bursaries.
  4. You can use either your smartphone, tablet or computer to apply online via the student i-Enabler, using your PIN and student number to log on
  5. Applicants should apply for admission for the current level and the next level of your application
  6. Make sure you upload all the required documents and pay the necessary fees.
